One thing you have to love about people in TV news is their ability to make fun of themselves. Now that Twitter, Facebook and lots of other social media have become fixtures in so many newsrooms, it was only a matter of time before somebody decided to share all the in-house jokes.
Thanks to KDFW, the Fox television station in Dallas-Fort Worth, we can all have a good laugh at our own expense. The station produced a hilarious send-up of our obsession with social media for the Lone Star Emmy Awards ceremony in October.
The spoof begins with what sounds like breaking news from anchor desk. Stick with it. The payoff is priceless.
