Social media, mobile and more at J/i Conference

The first Journalism Interactive Conference is sold out, but that doesn’t mean you can’t hear what some of the world’s leading experts have to say about what’s next for social media, mobile and entrepreneurial journalism.

Starting Friday, the J/i website will feature live streaming of sessions with folks like Mashable’s Adam Ostrow, Amy Webb and Jeff Jarvis.  Deborah Potter and I will also be presenting or moderating topics such as free Web tools you can use to build interactivity into your stories and how journalism schools should adjust curricula to better prepare students for the profession today.

You can also follow @Jiconf on Twitter and join the conversation with #jiconf.  And feel free to add your own questions to the mix — conference staff will be monitoring #jconf and @jiconf for questions addressed to our more than 60 presenters.

Four hundred journalists, educators and students are attending the conference at the University of Maryland.  Sessions run through Saturday, so be sure to log on and check out the ideas, tools and best practices featured at the J/i conference.
